I have a huge backyard (and front yard) that at this time of year turn into a horrible massive patch of prickles (I think Bindis). During winter it is a nice lush green grass, but the first signs of heat render it useless as a play area for my 3 yo due to the prickles.

The cost of ripping it up & replacing is too much, so thought I could try a 'Weed n Feed' approach. Can anyone tell me if this time of year is as good as any to start this process? I wasn't sure if seasons matter when doing this sort of thing, but figured it was worth a shot.
