I have a large number of deciduous trees in my backyard that each autumn drop a mass of leaves, covering the ground and then killing off any lawn that exists under them. The fallow ground is then invaded by weeds (including the ubiquitous wandering trad).
I was wondering, rather than relaying turf whether planting dichondra repens would be a better alternative and whether this would be able to survive the blanket of leaves in the autumn. Has anyone experience with this?
