Our house is on concrete stumps with some ratty old wood lattice work between the stumps, will replace the lattice work with a metal or plastic when I can afford it. I want to place a meter wide border around the house, either pebble or cypress chips. Not keen on the look of pebble but I'm paranoid about termites – would it be inviting trouble to use cypress chips? they are rumored to be termite resistant I'm big on the low maintenance – hate weeding. So what ever I lay down will be on a layer of Yates zero and weed matting.
