They're supposed to tolerate full sun, so I'm guessing it's frost that's the issue. I have one in a tall pot, in partial shade (so it has shelter from frost) and it's doing quite well. We tried watering more, we tried watering less. Perhaps it takes longer than we allowed for them to recover? And of course there's all the rain we've had since we planted it.
