Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Aug 08, 2012 1:25 pm OK so I have read a few posts about planting hedges over easements which I can gather is not generally a good idea. My question is if the easement is 2 metres from the back fence and I want to plant a hedge directly on the fence to block out some neighbours do I really have a concern? Re: Hedge plant near easement.. 2Aug 09, 2012 1:31 pm I keep coming across websites that say Lilly Pilly's have a shallow root system so I would assume this to be a good choice however if you google plants over easements most council websites have a big do not plant Lilly Pilly's anywhere near easement, why is this?? Re: Hedge plant near easement.. 3Aug 09, 2012 5:02 pm This is one of the better websites for talking about trees and sewers. It also makes some comments about what to do with the plants before you put them in the ground. The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! Re: Hedge plant near easement.. 6Aug 17, 2012 12:14 am The bloody over marketed lily pilly. No wonder they are mentioned so much on websites. Theres a stack of coin behind them being promoted. To me if there was a hedge that will find its way in, that's ya plant. Caprosma, Pitto screen master (dare I say it), Hibiscus, Albany Wooly bush (a wonderful choice), Diosma, Gero wax would be an even better choice. In fact, use a Gero wax. Hedges to perfection, loves being clipped and flowers very heavily when clipped. The roots will never be an issue. Never. You should be able to encase the sewer but you will need it designed and approved and access to lot 580 to do the work 2 17108 You might be able to apply to divert the sewer at your expense. In NSW you would contact a Water services co-ordinator and they would give you advice as to whether or not… 1 16105 Thanks - yea sounds like I need to submit build over easement application....ugh guess I better start finding someone who can do the engineering drawings 3 3321 |
