Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jul 27, 2012 2:25 pm Hi, my backyard needs a retaining wall to stop soil lost. I am going to build a moss rock one. All rock builders told me a moss rock retaining wall with an angle does Not need council's approval. However, my council said any retaining wall higher than 1M needs their approval, even a moss rock one. Is it right? Its just a rocky embankment. (Typical angle of repose for rocks is 40degrees) The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get !
