Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jun 20, 2012 3:58 pm Hi all, Wondering if anyone was watching the block last night and noticed the deck fixing method Lara was using ? It was a black strip fixed to the side of the joist with little upstand clips for the decking to clip in ? Does anyone know what this product is called? You can see the black strips in the background of these pics: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Decking on 'The Block' 2Jun 20, 2012 8:59 pm http://www.swiftdeck.com.au/ The demo says to apply glue, but I didn't see them do that on the show. I also wonder how long those plastic clips will last. Re: Decking on 'The Block' 5Jun 21, 2012 2:19 pm With the swift deck I think the boards need a ridge on both sides of the board for it to clip in. Not 100% certain but probably something to check. There's a few of these no nails deck solutions around, but this one looks neat the way it snaps in. Though I question the long term longevity of the plastic clips. Hi, as per the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck? Thanks 0 13038 Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home.
