Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jun 18, 2012 12:25 pm I laid a thick layer of lilydale topping down in the nature strip a few weeks ago, about 100mm on average, compacted it with plate. All good until our neighbours and some very inconsiderate citizen decided to cut corner and drive over it. See photos below. The area concerned is the lowest part of the nature strip, it has never been dried and after all these miserable weather we have so far, it's waterlogged and spongy. What went wrong and what can I do? Any input will be really appreciated. I was thinking of doing another topping to make it flush with the foot path and kerb down the track as you can see from the photos, it's a bit off ATM. Can I just shave it down 50mm, add cement and compact, then top it up with another 75mm topping with cement added and compacted?
