I have a good sized cumquat in my backyard. Probably 2.5m tall and the same in width. It grows against a wall which had the backyard spotlights and occassionally grows so high that it covers the lights.
I have probably made the mistake of pruning it too much...it just grows more vigorouusly and I've pruned it the wrong time of year. It hasn't had any fruit for a couple of years as I think I've taken all the flowers off.
When is the right and wrong time to prune a cumquat? I'm in Melbourne if that makes any difference. And is there a way to prune so it doesn't grow back even more?
Thanks
