Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 06, 2012 7:33 pm What is the best material for backfilling a 1m high block retaining wall. I am planning to use crushed rock on top of and below the aggi pipe. Fill it with cruched rock to around 400 mm and then fill it with 20mm scoria. Is this a good practise. Is there a risk of aggi pipe getting blocked with cruched rock dust. I am using a socked aggi pipe Re: Backfilling block retaining wall 2Apr 07, 2012 6:16 am use a large diameter gravel around the pipe, 20mm min. Also use Geo fabric to separate the different layers. We tend to use vertical drains up against the wall also, Is it a solid wall or segment block?
