Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Mar 08, 2012 2:57 pm G'day guys, I am a bit worried about my small Pin cushion Hakea tree, the ends of the leaves are looking burned and the leaves generally are leathery and brownish. I pruned the burned looking bits off a week ago but now the rest of the leaves are starting to brown off. I realise it has been hot but the tree survived all summer with beautiful light green leaves. It is in improved soil with a thick layer of natural mulch and gets regular water and occasional seasol and molasses. It was "deep planted" with the root ball buried about 700mm down. I have seen mature trees and the leaves are quite thick and leathery, is this just a maturity thing maybe? BTW, there are a 3 buds developing on the branches which I assume are flowers, the tree is about 15 months old. cheers Re: Help - Hakea luarina looking stressed 2Mar 08, 2012 7:19 pm dont prune any more. at the very least the brown and burnt leaves are protecting some of the otehrs. Hi team, Im looking for a second hand sd4b monitor preferably white. 0 8923 Really tight at the top of the stairs- how to get furniture into those rooms? Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 6884 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13443 |
