We are preparing to sell our house, have a large back yard and are on level 3 water restrictions, looking at level 4 in early October. That means we can only water with a bucket filled up from the tap at the moment, level 4 will mean no watering the garden at all. I have some areas I need to fill up with plants to make the garden more attractive for selling. Some have mostly shade, some mostly sun. Not sure if this is still correct, but I thought you could apply for a temporary exclusion from water restrictions wehen moving into a newly built house, with a bare yard. Suggest you checl with your water company to see if this is still the case. It might be only for a couple of months, and still have some restrictions, but it is better than nothing.
