Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Feb 10, 2012 6:49 am We put our turf down about 5 weeks ago, following all the prep instructions and it took off really quickly. Now, we've got some brown patches appearing. Ok ... it is laid over the disposal area for our HSTP system, there are really, really dark green patches (more like stripes) then there are these dead looking patches. It did have to endure flash flooding about 10 days ago, but the water dispersed quickly and most of the lawn greened up. Any ideas ... my DH is getting concerned about his pedigree lawn. Make sure organic composts used are low in manures especially poultry. I'm extremely fussy about soils I use, for great big patches will commonly occur when some soils are used. Stimulate root growth with molasses and Seasol. Apply some zeolite too.
