Is this plant make flowers? I am looking for a ground cover, like a moss to plant them around garden rocks. Prefer no flowers. Do you think, Scleranthus Biflorus would do the job? If not, let me know any other plants. Thanks Re: Name of These Plants? 9Feb 08, 2012 7:26 pm It's definitely scleranthus biflorus. It has small insignificant flowers - actually I've never noticed them on mine. In the right climate, they go nuts. http://www.burkesbackyard.com.au/1998/archives/26/in_the_garden/grasses,_ground_covers_and_lawns2/canberra_grass Re: Name of These Plants? 12Feb 10, 2012 4:58 pm Aaah, Kuranga Nursery - the memories. I used to love visiting there back when I lived in Melbourne. Such a huge selection of native & indigenous plants & staff who actually knew something. You'll definately be able to get your Scleranthus biflorus from there (or they'll be able to recommend something else more suited). I also miss their cafe with its odd but delicious bush-tucker inspired meals - yum. We have nothing like that up here on the Gold Coast. Name of These Plants? 13Feb 17, 2012 12:24 am Try Casurina Cousin it for a tougher but similar look without flowers you'll notice. A deep emerald green Sent via Tapatalk Murraya could be a great option for you. It creates a great tall screening hedge but doesn't drop fruit like lily pilly. The flowers smell divine. 2 10240 |
