I think I want to go with a cottage style garden with roses, topiary trees, moss and ivy. I would also love a passionfruit vine, veggie and herb garden and maybe chooks. Are any of these ideas going to work in Sydney? Would love some advice from others. Topiary trees all good just pick species that work in your climate and understand that they require regular maintainence to look good. Moss requires constant moisture. Boston Ivy is ok, as long as its not English ivy. Its shocking stuff, huge weed problem and very very hard to get rid off. Interesting. You have great clearance to damp proof course all the way around which is rare with so many cowboy landscapers and concreters.
