Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jan 23, 2012 6:54 pm I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good all round commercial organic fertiliser that has a balanced NPK? I don't like synthetic fertilisers but the organic ones all seem to have a high nitrogen content which is fine for my leafy plants but doesn't really promote flowering. I want it for my potted frangipani and I'm not really in a position to make my own. "Whoever says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain!" Re: Organic Fertiliser - Is there one that isn't high in N? 2Jan 25, 2012 10:47 am I think seamungus, from Neutrog, should be pretty good. Fu has suggested that as soil amendment, " fertilizer". The NPK ratio is 4:1:1.5 http://www.neutrog.com.au/seamungus-2/ You can buy it in 40kg bag if you have large demand ( not from bunnings. maybe email neutrog for supplier in your area). You can buy 2kg, 12kg one from bunnings. By the way, neutrog also has one particularly for roses, which sounds very popular among those rose lovers. http://www.neutrog.com.au/signature-range/ I hadn't used that cos i didn't have roses. OR liquid one by Seasol, powerfeed, (N 0.10% : P 0.05% : K 2%). YOu also can't go wrong with molasses as the supplement. Search " Fu" " Molasses" here you will learn more. Spring is here! Hurray! Re: Organic Fertiliser - Is there one that isn't high in N? 3Jan 25, 2012 11:22 am Thanks for your reply. I'm presently using Amgrow's Organix Harvest (which stinks so it must be good). The Neutrog rose one you suggested has a much more balanced NPK so I will give the 2 kg bag a go. Its a semi-dwarf frangi so it won't need much and I might try it on my hibiscus as well. Cheers.
