Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Dec 31, 2011 6:37 am Hi, The nursery man recommended a magnolia exmouth as he mentioned that they have a fast growth rate and don't grow as big as the larger mangolia grandiflora varieties - do any of you have a Magnolia exmouth planted in your gardens and can you give me any insight into how big they grow and what considerations I should have when planting it (ie root system etc). The stuff I could find on the net indicated that they grow to 8m high to 2m wide. but I couldn't find any pictures of a mature specimen. The closest i think i could find was the one below. Looking at my avatar it is planted on the left hand side on the corner of the house, never had any root issues. We have planted a number of the Little Gems which are fast growing, the flowers are not as spectacular as the Grandiflora but still very nice Re: Does anyone have a mature Magnolia Exmouth? 5Jan 14, 2012 6:08 am thanks trish.. that must look fantastic on your property. magnolia's are truly magnificent trees and i would love to have a yard that is big enough to house one of the large ones like it seems you have!!!
