help!!!!
im a 26 yr old first time gardener having my way with my front yard! its giving me grief! ive spent so many hours on it, have got all my irrigation and lawn all up and ready and is coming along nicely, its just my final plant selections that killing me!
ive spent numerous hours at nurseries, bunnings garden etc trying to get my head around plant selections but am getting no where.
can someone please suggest some ideas that may be suited to my front yard?
as per image below, i have put a separate garden strip of about 250mm which runs down the path and grass which is going to have red pebbles, and also either Mondo plant or the misses is keen on a hedge (we have been looking at some kind of Buxus - English Box).

And also as shown in the image we have Yucca's growing in the rear garden bed up against the fence...
HOWEVER its the 2x garden beds we are lost with that run across the front of the house. we were keen on approx 3x Cordylines (Red Star/Sensation) in each garden bed for some time but realized how big they can get, and thought it might swallow the front of the house. then we looked at Cordyline Red Fountain which is still a possibility at the moment as they wont grow as big, but still unsure...
We are looking at greens and reds to match the Manor Red garage door and front door.
If anyone has any suggestions or ideas that may be suited to our 'modern style' home, would be greatly appreciated.
hope someone can help!
thanks!!
i have also attached an image which a lot of inspiration has come from - i think the tall plants in the corners are cordylines? but its a bit blurry so unsure! does anyone know what they could be?
