I just purchased a 2L bottle of the Seasol for lawns (Seasol+powerfeed) and a couple of bottles of the concentrate for refills. I'm going to start once a day waters (for the next couple of days though...this may be twice a day since the temp will be around 30). Should I: SS/PF before or after watering? I'm planning on doing it at the end of the day when I get home...however, the lawn would have gone almost an entire day without being watered. Cheers Re: Just laid turf...on a 35 degree day! 12Dec 15, 2011 2:06 pm Seasol powerfeed etc once a week for 4 weeks not every day or every water. Then scale back to once every 2 weeks then after a month of that once a month. Re: Just laid turf...on a 35 degree day! 13Dec 15, 2011 2:08 pm Seasol first, then water the lawn afterwards to help the seasol etc penerate the soil. Oh and what you guys call dead will be no where near it in the plant world Re: Just laid turf...on a 35 degree day! 15Dec 16, 2011 2:39 pm I did 4L of Seasol/Powerfeed over 150m2 (where the bottle says 2L will do 100m2). But that was my first application...I'll do another next week. Should I mix some molasses in with the next SS/PF mixture you think? Cheers Edit: In a 2L container...I refilled it with 1L of Powerfeed and 400ml of SS...the rest with water (well...that's what it advised me on the back of the SS/PF 2L bottle.) My little steppables I planted, that got munched by snails, have come back to life. I was told to throw them away... Hmmm ok... Re: Just laid turf...on a 35 degree day! 17Dec 17, 2011 7:53 am I'm just looking for ways to give the turf the absolute best possible start. I've got 8 days or so before xmas day...to which we'll have a handful of family and kids over at our house for lunch. By that time...the turf would have been down for about 2.5 weeks. I guess the turf could tolerate a couple of hours of foot traffic from mostly kids (adults know not to walk on it). However....I'm hoping the ankle-biters will keep themselves entertained on the big playset im putting together in a 6x6 play area....and keep off the grass Cheers Re: Just laid turf...on a 35 degree day! 18Dec 17, 2011 10:53 am All you need to do is read the two lawn threads we have dedicated a great many hours compiling using the absolute best info and advice.
