Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Nov 17, 2011 9:25 pm My neighbour has a vine which has gone rampant down the side of both our houses. Its growing over the colourbond fence and pulling it over. Not too mention the roots are coming over my side looking for water. As i am currently trying to put Agg pipe down the same side of the house because of drainage issues i need to get rid of this vine. The neighbour doesnt want it either and has apparently tried Diesel/Petrol etc. I searched on the net and i think its a Pink Trumpet vine.. Any advice on how to get rid of it? http://www.flickr.com/photos/55313447@N ... hotostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/55313447@N ... hotostream Maybe if the neighbour took care of it properly then we wouldnt have to get rid of it... Im definetly keeping the molasses away from this one... Also any advice on what small plants are good to help with drainage in a small area? Something that likes a drink but wont go looking in my agg pipe/pool piping/stormwater drain for it... Thanks Re: The need to exterminate.... 2Nov 17, 2011 10:47 pm You could try blackberry and weedkiller. We used it on a Japanese Pepper tree at our house, and although it took lots of treatments to get all the suckers etc, it did eventually kill it all off. Thank you so much for the effort. We will use it to talk with builder.
