Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Nov 06, 2011 5:56 pm Hello. So happy to have a place to ask people questions! How far can you run a reticulation system from your tap with out having to resort to solanoids? My back yard is quite big and I want to run retic along the 3 fence lines and along the patio. I know water pressure has something to do with this as well but am a bit bomboarded after picking up lots of leaflets from Bunnings. Running retic off taps is not going to end well for significant areas. Don't be scared of installing valves etc. it's easy. Retic off a tap is sometimes a suitable compromise in small court yards.
