Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Nov 05, 2011 2:47 pm Hi there, Looking for some landscaping advice for our backyard. We want to sell our house early next year but need to keep costs down. Our front yard is lovely and landscaped but our backyard is a mess. Here are three photos showing the yard. I've tried to knit three photos together as best I can to show the whole yard: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ignore the swings and toys and washing, lol! It really is at its worst as the lawn guy is due to be mow this week. At the moment there are four palm trees on the right, a fish fern behind those near the back corner, then at the back from the right there is a horrid teatree thing, a scrappy bottlebrush and a nice eucalyptus in front of those. To the left behind the swing there is a tiny little orange tree that used to be dead but I revived. It's ugly too haha. What would you do in terms of plants/screens etc.? We'll do the obvious clean up but in terms of plants etc. not quite sure what would go or what would be suitable bearing in mind summer is one the way... would it just be better to plant more mature plants right before open house? Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home.
