Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Oct 02, 2011 6:16 pm Hi All, Down the side of our new home I would like to construct a ramp. My problem is the weep holes on the lower side of the slope. The weep holes are in the second course of bricks (see the image) and I understand that they should not be covered, but I would like to make the ramp as wide as possible. The drop from the upper to the lower is roughly 800mm and the ramp will be approximately 8 metres long. Are there any ways to build the ramp flush with the wall and not cause future problems with rising damp, termites, etc? You will have to interfere with the soil too close to the foundations. Better off as mentioned above looking at a sloping deck it depends on the natural ground level, if they excavated their boundary wall needed to be built as a retaining wall.
