Hi Guys,
This is my first post in landscape & garden design and i am new to gardening. I am having some problem with my sir walter buffalo lawn.
We installed the lawn in Jan of this year through a landscaper. It was growing very well till June- July since then it has started getting yellow patches in it. I tried seasol + power feed a couple of times but nothing has changed. Our retic is also working properly, we give water 3 times a week.
At the time of installation we did ask our landscaper whether we need to prepare the soil, because it is a sandy soil(Canning Vale, Perth). He said there is no need for it as sir walter lawn will grow on a sandy soil also. At the time of installation he just put some fertilizer which came with the lawn.
I have been reading different articles about yellow patches on internet. Many are suggesting to use fertilizer's like CK88, slow release scotts lawn builder fertilizer. Use Molasses + seasol + powerfeed. Aerating the lawn, put organic top soil. etc...
I am new to gardening and i am confused about how to revive my lawn. As the soil was not prepared where do i start from.
Can some one please give me some direction.
