Must be better than the top soil stuff they sell. I would dowt that mulchnet would sell compost. They only are a data base of tree lopper contactors and people who want mulch. They just manage directing one to other. Unless the contractor tipping the mulch to you also sells compost. That is my guess anyway. Bit off topic how long did it take for you get mulch delived after registering? did you order the free one or paid? i will be needing mulch very soon, i need register. I was thinking of paid just cant wait too long and also cant store it by ordering early. You're right, Mulchnet don't provide compost... not sure where i got that idea from but I'm sure I saw it on their website recently. Must have been somewhere else. I haven't ordered any mulch yet but I'll most likely pay for an order. So dig some up from around the yard if possible or nearby. If the soil is poor quality mix with approx 25% compost. Compost sinks over time so any level changes will be reversed in about a year if you just use compost alone. If u are top dressing for Nutrient/soil improvement yes use 100% compost preferably after you have cored the lawn sweeping the goodies into the core holes. If you cant get certifed compost just use the best you can find.
