Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Aug 21, 2011 4:45 pm Have just moved into a new house where the previous owners planted pyrus calleryana chanticleer 4 metres apart down the side boundary wire fence. The house has been built on a rocky ridge, so the soil is not fantastic. I have built up a bed about half a metre along the side boundary behind the pyrus which is a metre from the fence. Can anyone suggest a hedge plant I can plant between them in the new bed I hope to screen out the house next door. I was thinking about a magnolia teddy bear Re: Hedge plants 4Aug 25, 2011 7:39 pm Yeah that's a great point. Guess who is the god of pleaching, Yep Topiarius Murraya could be a great option for you. It creates a great tall screening hedge but doesn't drop fruit like lily pilly. The flowers smell divine. 2 10240 |
