A slight slope is a far more realistic setup for a landscape. Section it with cut ins done from big boulders brought in or smaller dry rock walls. Create multiple spaces and wide path ways through. You could do a few terraces but that rarely works as a successful landscape. I agree 100% slopes are never boring and offer the opportunity to showcase the plats better in a stepped effect. Many different materials can be used (Rocks, sleeps, old red bricks ..........) You could include a small stream using the fall of land to great effect.
