I've come to my crunch time - I am going ahead with demolishing and rebuilding and now need to decide what to do with my heritage roses.
these guys have lived, grown and flowered for me with stuff all water, fertiliser and attention, and of course, now that I am going to pull the house down, are currently flowering their little hearts out.
Do I just see what survives the process, plant into pots (very large pots), or say, so sad, I will start again when the house is finished?
For those that are interested, I have General Galleni, Mutablis, Mde Isac de Perrier, Souvenir de la Malmaison (climing, and massive flowers for the first time ever), Lamarque (climing) and Irene Watts (chinese bush). Little White Pet and Antique silk are small enough that I won't have problems potting them up (I hope).
I'm sad to see the ornemental peaches go, but quite happy with losing the Queensland Box trees. So not a suburban tree!
What would you do?
