I had to dig a few of these out over the years and they are not a lot of fun. Would I put one over an easement? No. Cottonwood will have it sorted in a year or two. the roots won't be an issue and if you ever did need to have them dug up for work there, then they'd be easy to replace and be back all tall and full in no time.
