Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jul 28, 2011 10:40 pm so this is our house...and our landscaping is yet to be done after nearly 4 years of living here...oh except our letterbox has been rendered and painted the same colour purple as the feature Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ we are thinking a path from the front to the letterbox with white stones and charcoal pavers for steps, then fill the little space between the letterbox path and the driveway also with white stones and Rhoeo dwarf plants (Moses in the cradle) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ we don't want to have too much landscaping to detract from the feature of the house, but need something to complement it maybe a square/diamond shaped area in the middle with a tallish feature tree - maybe a sculpted lilly pilly or one of those spiky looking plants? not sure what to do though, neither hubby or I are much in to gardening, we are lucky just to have grass and that took a year! thanks in advance for suggestions Re: help with landscape ideas for Darwin 2Jul 29, 2011 6:40 am Plant anything at the beginning of the Wet Season and it'll take off. Weekly mowing of the grass will become a habit, I went through a set of blades in the last Wet. If you look at putting down any sort of rocks, remember the weed matting, you'll chase your tail trying to keep up with the weeds. We did our front garden up at the start of last Wet, it took off quite well. The race is on to get the backyard done prior to the first rain. Landscape Design Parramatta We have been doing a large amount of landscape design work in Sydney… 0 3 Need advice on the backyard plan above. Should I excavate and cut all of the dirt to level with the house slab or semi-excavate as per photo above? Both left and right… 0 24831 Thanks very much!
