Thanks tim Re: Design help and amounts to add 2Jul 08, 2011 6:59 am well after some phone calls and chatting with some people i have come too Spongolite 1-2kg/10m2 Zeolite 1-2kg/10m2 i have emailed bios about bactivate but no reply. Any help with this product? Re: Design help and amounts to add 3Jul 08, 2011 10:28 pm Zeolite Add at the rate of 0.75kg / m2, mixed into the top 300mm of soil Spongolite Add at the rate of 1kg/m2, mixed into the top 300mm of soil Those quantities would be ideal but for such a large area half the rate into top 200mm would be still very good. If adding perlite too can go even less. Make sure you mix in a 100mm layer of good quality compost into the top 300mm as well and mulch heavily. BTW what type of soil? Clay soil can handle less ammendments but will need a lot of organic matter and is harder to work. Sandy needs lots of ammendments and the addition of clay or bentonite/attapulgite as an extra ammendment. Re: Design help and amounts to add 4Jul 08, 2011 10:56 pm Where abouts are you Tim? I would call it by my none gardening skills not sandy loam towards what ever would be next. I have rotory hoed parts of the yard already and its becomes quite fluffy the soil. Re: Design help and amounts to add 6Jul 10, 2011 7:25 pm Next from sandy loam is sand or loam depending on which way you go. What do you plan do do with 750m2? Do a bit of planning and only improve the bits which will be garden or lawn. Get all your structures and hardscaping done first, soil improvement / softscaping last. Re: Design help and amounts to add 7Jul 10, 2011 9:10 pm thanks for the advice keen. I am putting a 6mx12m shed up and i am having a garden bed down one side of the fence. I will have a lot of lawn. LOVE THE STUFF and enjoy looking after it and the dog loves it also. I will plant a few fruit trees and in my garden beds i will attempt to grow the vegies i use most. I am ordering about 10m3 of cow compost to add it soil and this will bring me up to high i beileve. I will wait to it gets warming to lay turf. go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110587 The last home I lived in didn't have a pool and when i went to sell it the agents were not happy, even telling me to put one in to sell the place.
