Not particularly - Basically just want to tidy it up, and make it look a little more inviting(Originally had a lot of those horrible cocos palms) Live in qld, so tropical-type look is what I think would work...i.e. some small palms Cheers Re: Advice on pool area 6Jul 04, 2011 5:20 pm yes those cocco palms are horrible i had some of them in my last two homes right near the pool had them removed but not before i had to buy and new pump and filter because of the nuts of the cocco palms finished building 40 square home on 5 acres with perry homes.working on the landscaping just finished pool deck with ://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2217 Re: Advice on pool area 8Jul 06, 2011 9:53 am keen Frangipani, Tiger grass, Bamboo. Good call on the tiger grass! So, remove all the old pebbles/rocks...new soil, tiger grass/bamboo etc and mulch(?) - The block is quite steep, and we get pretty bad run-off in this are of the backyard...so not sure how well mulch would last? Thanks! Re: Advice on pool area 10Jul 07, 2011 8:54 am Here is one idea, I would just plant in out anything large leaf. As for Mulch if you get Treeloppers mulch I found it will handle runoff exceptionally well and tends to stay well knit I went outside once. The graphics were alright, but the gameplay sucked! Re: Advice on pool area 16Jul 09, 2011 6:51 am Hi Guys, Well spent quite a few hours removing the rocks(What a PITA!), and Im now down to basically more rocks/cocos palm roots - Just after opinions on whether I should place a retaining wall butted up against the pool edge(In pics, where the existing concrete garden edge/drain is), to bring the level of the garden bed up, so I dont have to spend the next month digging out roots and rocks. Where the concrete edge is currently, I get a lot of water run off down towards the pool filter shed - Any suggestions?..maybe run som ag pipe/drainage gravel against the retaining wall? Anyways, appreciate any suggestions.
