Hi There
I'm sorry if you have all already discussed this in a previous thread (please feel free to post the link, I wont be offended).
We have a sloped front yard, on a corner block and are looking at lanscaping, putting in a new driveway (currently its at the rear of the house) and some steps alongside the driveway. We would like to do this under $5000 and are prepared to DYI as much as possible to save $$.
We think we may need a couple of small retaining walls. We've asked around and apparently moss rocks are the cheapest option, and for the rocks alone we would be looking at $5000 + crane, etc etc.
I would attach pictures, but cant figure out how to do it......
* My first question is, do we actually need a retaining wall? Or can we get away without them?
* If we do need retaining walls, which is the cheapest and easiest way do do it, whilst still looking good?
* Can anyone reccomend a proffessional in Adelaide, SA who can build the retaining wall for us.
I would appreciate any tips/tricks, beacuse its becoming such a daunting task! The easiest option seems to be to sell and buy a house on a flat block
