Then I would texture coat the blueBoard and add some sort of feature on it like a little lions head or angel water fountain. Then paint the whole thing in a light colour like sandstone and put a few pots around the base with some fern like plants in it. Then you could sit in the room and look out and hear the sounds of a gentle water feature and relax. Re: Ugly Brick Wall - Help !!! 23Aug 07, 2011 11:59 pm I wouldn't use a climbing fig. No way Might be a tiny thing on the wall and a monster underground. They normally are. Re: Ugly Brick Wall - Help !!! 24Jan 18, 2012 6:00 pm Ok so after all this time have finally done something about the ugly brick wall and promised to post pic when it was done, so here it is. Before Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ After Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It has lightened up the room considerably, we decided to use the new Dulux Render Paint. I am still looking for some sort of metal wall art to hang on the wall. Would love some greenery but it is all concrete down that side. Toyed with Vertical garden as well but decided too hard to water as the tap is on the opposite side of house. Thank you for all your suggestions, thats what I love about this forum and value your input. Till next problem Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. Deemaree - we recently used the Dulux Medium Texture Render Paint on a feature wall. Found the product excellent and surpassed our expectations to achieve a rendered finish. Don't try to spread the paint too far with the roller. Someone else on the forum used the full coverage and was disappointed. Hi Dee, It was ok, I found new muscles in my arms that's for sure. It didnt cover the mortar joins as it states it does, however my wall wasnt exactly straight, some bricks were in and out and the bricks itself had holes in it so had to fill it up quite a lot. Dont know if I would use it again - that's the full texture. I ended up using 3 10lt buckets at $130 each, I think I could have got a professional in to do it for less - but we live and learn. I have had family members use the fine and medium textures to go over blueboard etc and it looks fantastic. Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011.
