I was hoping someone could help me with my bamboo research?
What type of bamboo would be ideal to be used as a screening plant which will be kept in pots?
From what Ive read, the pot will need to be a large as possible and raised to help drainage. They also need a very good fertiliser, preferably with a mulch on top.
Now, I have three windows Id like to shade, all on dead sides of the house. In terms of pot size, two of the windows Im restricted with as it is a walkway to the back of the house and therefore clothes line. Would it be possible to do a bamboo screening plant on a 1.1m walkway? A pot width of 250mm would leave 850mm... Do you think this would work as both a pot size for a bamboo as well as a walkway size? I can probably get trough type pots (if I can find them) so can be up to 2+ meters in length
Also, what type of bamboo would suit my purpose?
Thank you
