Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design Re: Trimming a Yucca trunk 4Jun 25, 2011 2:27 pm You can cut one of the sprouts off and replant to produce another one. Otherwise if you have a large one cut the top of completely so only the trunk is remaining. Over time it will short out new stems from the trunk. Re: Trimming a Yucca trunk 5Jun 27, 2011 9:32 am poolguy If you are talking about just removing the old foliage the pull them off. That's what I'm talking about. I've seen in Nurserys where they are trimmed up to only have foliage at the top. Re: Trimming a Yucca trunk 6Jul 11, 2011 12:01 am Yep, rip them off. There's no trimming Grab the dead rubbish foliage and rip it off with a downward rip. Keep moving up the stem till its tidy and you get into the really soft white flesh of the tree. I'd wear gloves. Who knows what random spider species runs out at you. Re: Trimming a Yucca trunk 8Jul 11, 2011 11:58 pm and that is just how it should work. Cut up or shredded is a bit better but overall it's great to see you catching on |
