Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Feb 27, 2013 2:56 pm Have just had two small trees removed from my courtyard. The guy who removed them said that I couldn't plant in the same place because of the roots of the old trees. But it is just a courtyard so not much space to play with. The trees removed were tea trees approx 2 mtrs high. The guy got out most of the bulk of the tree roots. Today I went through the area with pick axe and dug down about 30 cms. I removed some larger roots and a lot of smaller ones. Will this be enough to then plant in roughly the same spot? I am putting in lilli pillis. Have I done enough?
