This one was been tied up for about a month before the straps holding it broke. It seemed to be doing ok for a bit until it fell over again recently. This is the only one out of all the trees that is giving up trouble after all this time. It doesnt seem to be dying, so how long does a tree need to be staked/supported to be able to hold itself up again? It is about 3-4 meters high. There is no way a time frame can be put on things like that. What makes the difference is the health of the soil. In a good soil I'd expect a fast recovery in under 6 months. Its a lot of root to regrow! Imagine what you see above the ground exists in a flatter format under the ground. Most has been torn or broken and that needs to regrow. It takes a while to regrow that volume. It still has to look after all the stuff above the ground too.
