Howdy all.
Just wondering if I could canvass the views of the forums...

My house is the one on the right, the one where the neighbours builders just started digging away with out asking my permission and putting their bricks up against my house, but thats another story.
Anyway, as you can see, the two houses are at different levels. The neighbour has done a 600mm cut on his side, and I have done a 600mm fill on mine. The neighbours garage (which is build directly on the boundary) has a "tilt-slab" to retain their side of the "Cut". Now, how on earth do i retain my fill ? I cant just put dirt against the brick wall... is it easier to put up I-beams and cement sleepers, or maybe build my own besser block wall (filling each course with concrete / stones ?)
Will I need to water-proof the neighbours brick wall ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
