Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 May 17, 2011 12:30 pm I got 100sqm delivered and laid it with Hubby just before the big downpour. I chose this variety because it grows in sun and shade, doesn't go yellow in winter, runners not as invasive. The leaf, once established folds itself in half so you don't get that typical buffalo look. It's a much better alternative to Sir Walter which is overpriced. Once established I will take photos. I have left 1.2 for the garden bed and need to screen out ugly 2 story buildings around me. I would like to create a pleached look hedge as the house is formal so do I really have to limit myself to Pyrus varieties or Evergreen Figs and Waterhousia? I would like to plant mondo then buxus along all the borders with liriopes behind them and then nude trunks of the trees along the perimiter. The back fence is 15m long and along 1 side is 10m. I already have 10 little gems planted along the other side of the fence. These were left during construction because they thrived so well. I painted the fence charcoal and it looks heaps better. I am not a gardener and find it difficult to know what to choose. I will not touch the front yard until the renderer finishes his job. Stupid me paid him too much money and now he rocks up when he feels like it, at the moment once every 2 months. These plants are going to cost me big $$$$. I'm waiting 4 bare rooted I like the toorak one http://jackmerlodesign.com/ Re: SOFT LEAF Sapphire Buffalo, what next? 2May 20, 2011 1:20 am Use Correa instead of Buxus, way better and faster with similar leaf. As a hedge, the make Buxus look bad. I love suggesting Melaleuca nesophila as a dense formal hedge. They really grow faster than any option and need very little care. I'd not use ficus. Pyrus will not be an effective screen in winter. Hedge Magnolia Little Gem or Kay Paris, that would look amazing. There is a nice Magnolia hedge near me that looks top top Magnolia hedge, Correa low hedge, what about planting Lomandra Little Con instead of Mondo? It would look far tidier in the long run. I've dug some footings to embed a post anchor into. My holes are around 450mm deep which I'll put a 200mm stirrup into. The bottom of these holes seem firm enough. … 0 3296 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 15822 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 20163 |
