We put down our village green turf about a month ago and it's been going really well. Followed all the recommended soil prep tips on here and have been applying seasol powerfeed and molasses every week or so. We cut back on the recommended watering regime a week ago though because the lawn was so soft and boggy I was worried we were over watering (45 mins on 2 stations 3x daily then cut back to 2x daily after the first 2 weeks)
Then we got our 35kg dog back from her foster carers and there's a few damaged areas. And hubby mowed a patch or two on low and scalped it about 2 weeks ago Here's some pics to illustrate:

some bald patches. the soil is becoming exposed in several spots (and it still feels very damp despite only one sprinkler session in 3 days)

Overall the lawn looks quite good (needs a mow though) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅
So should we be doing anything to help the lawn repair itself and could this be exacerbated by over watering?
I notice the dog snuffling and pawing around a lot where the soil is exposed because it has lovely smelly bits in it still I might go and get some repellent spray today.
