Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 24, 2011 9:51 pm I'm just about to get stack stone installed in the backyard outside. My landscaper reckons that grout should be used between each of the pieces, I'm a bit worried about this cause normally when you see stack stone there are no gaps.... He's bought some of those X things that are used for tiling so that they all have even spacing.... its a small one but it will still put about 3mm gap in between each piece.. He reckons this has to be done for expansion purposes??? Any other peoples experience. Thanks Re: Using grout with stackstone 3Apr 25, 2011 8:23 am Hi shonkster, I think you should ask your landscaper if he has laid stackstone before. Sounds to me like he hasn't. There shouldn't be any gaps and the stone should be laid in a brick formation so it looks seamless as possible. All he needs is outdoor adhesive for the stone. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All new built homes look like display homes... until the furniture goes in.
