Hi there
We had some retic installed last Thurs by a contractor that had their business cards at our local Tot@l Eden. We were told they'd do a plan which would be easy to DIY (yeah right ) but the retic installer changed the plan totally and supplied different sprinkler heads etc to what we purchased on recommendation from T.E. Hubby did all the digging and connected up the pipes, and the professional guy did the wiring.
So I'm already a bit dubious but we had turf being delivered on Friday so we had to have the sprinklers working properly. The labour costs ended up being $600 odd too, on top of the $570 we spent at T.E.
Anyway one of the sprinkler heads sprays so far over the lawn that it soaks the paving and even sprays right through the window flyscreens onto the family room floor! So we have to have the windows closed to stop the couch getting wet.
My hubby hasn't finalised the account yet but the retic guy reckoned our water pressure was low and that was 'as good as he could get it'.
We did get it tested (can't remeber what the reading was now) but the pressure inside the house is fine! We're in an older suburb and have had pretty good water pressure before we did a demo/re-build.
Sooooo in essence, I'm wondering whether a) we are being spun a line about the over-spray being 'as good as it gets' b) if so how should I deal with it? Any advice or info I can get would be great as I am new to retic matters!
