Re: What a stunning front garden!!!! 62Feb 29, 2008 9:19 pm Just a sad update to this thread. We drove down to visit our house this evening and saw the house mentioned in this thread.....

Took out the power and gas it seems.... The Marshall Baker Rep was there obviously to look at repairing the house quick smart.... (By the way, the fake grass is okay!!!) How sad!!!! Such a lovely house too.... Re: What a stunning front garden!!!! 64Feb 29, 2008 10:39 pm Boy, do I feel for home owner ![]() All that effort for what! Any money it was just your average hoon sky larking in his/her car. As I am typing this, all night we hear cars behind us doing burnouts etc How on earth can car loose control in a small suburban street unless speed was involved. Mrs B Re: What a stunning front garden!!!! 66Mar 01, 2008 12:41 am Pity they didn't have one of those raised stone garden beds along the side.
When looking to buy a house I do always look at the curves in the road and imagine where people might be speed or lose control, and then see what obstacles might prevent a car ramming through the bedroom etc I've rejected a couple of houses because of these factors. Re: What a stunning front garden!!!! 67Mar 02, 2008 2:42 pm ![]() And you know what's really sad? Some little bastard/s will come along one day and spray paint/kick/belt things in the yard and destroy thousands of dollars of work. Told ya ........sort of ![]() Hope thety get it fixed up alright, and whoever did it foots the bill ![]() Re: What a stunning front garden!!!! 68Mar 02, 2008 4:56 pm It's hard to tell from that pic, but did they have a fence down the side ? If not then their house sure is exposed. Re: What a stunning front garden!!!! 69Mar 02, 2008 5:43 pm ![]() It's hard to tell from that pic, but did they have a fence down the side ? If not then their house sure is exposed. Hey Cabinfever, in our estate corner blocks like this one are only allowed fencing to 60% of the boundary. So there is a fence (you might be able to check in previous pics in this thread). They had 3 rendered brick pillars to "dress up" that corner of the house and the middle one has been wiped out by the car. Drove past today and it looks like some blue sisalation has been taped onto the plyboard that was previously there....
