Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 10, 2011 8:58 pm My Rain Dial 9-station RD-900-EX-A irrigation controller has started acting up, seeming to have lost the ability to distinguish between its A, B and C individual cycles. Regardless of the switch setting, changes to start times, days or valve times appear the same for each cycle. Apart from that problem, the controller is apparently working normally. It's only about 7 years old and is reasonably protected, being on the South side and getting very little direct sunlight. Pulling the controller board out, I couldn't see anything obviously wrong (I'm not an electrician). Whilst Irritrol have a repair page in the USA, Toro Australia's site doesn't mention repairs. Any advice, should I start thinking about replacing it (found prices online ranging from about $340 to $500)? thanks Andy Re: Rain Dial RD900 Controller different cycles problem 2Apr 11, 2011 2:11 am I'd still see about getting it repaired with your local Toro dealer. Great controllers. However, out there, there will be someone not happy with a dud in regard to any brand. Pitty yours turned out to be a dud. pm bradtez (homeone member) He uses the Toro controller. I prefer the Hunter X-Core but if I can I use the one you have right there.
