We planted our Murrayas about a year ago and they're going strong but not nearly as dense as that yet. Perhaps we need to trim them more often and could have planted them closer together. I was curious because we've often had the exact same curly leaves you showed in the original photo - great to see that it's (apparently) no big issue. I am about to plant 50m of them but could only afford to plant them 1m apart otherwise I would go broke! I hope they hedge up as good as yours have. Now they are about 70-80 cm high but quite bushy from the bottom, so I'm thinking another year and they will already touch. Hopefully they are not planted far too close !!
