We need to do a full site reno, including stripping of old lawn, levelling the bumps and dips and then laying new turf. The plan is to kill all green things first, then strip them and remove, leaving the whole site bare while structural works are being done (up to 2 months). Then come back to garden, lay top soil and finally the turf.
What's your take on that plan? Is it silly to leave it bare so that all sorts of weeds can get embedded into the soil, which will then just be covered with turf? OK, it will be Sir Walter - supposedly will win the battle against any such new-comer weeds - but is that just too optimistic?
