Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Mar 18, 2011 12:00 pm Hi..need help from people with an eye for colours. I am looking to paint my timber fence but have no idea of what colour to go with. It runs along dark grey pavers and then onto lawn and has extensive green folleage behind it (from our neighbours yard). It meets another fence which is currently dark red but we are thinking of making this a feature fence and lining it with thick bamboo screening. Our house is red brick and apricot rendering. I am thinking of painting it a light olive/brown colour?? I tried to upload a photo but the "board attachment quota has been reached" so a no-go Re: What colour should I paint my fence?? 3Apr 05, 2011 1:45 am Paint it a dark blue, blue grey, grey dark grey type colours. It doesn't matter what colour really. It would look fine no matter. Once the fence is dark it will disappear into the landscape. Well not that magically but it becomes as mentioned, less obtrusive. Got me stuffed why we have cream coloured fences? I hate mine but can't be bottomed painting it Re: What colour should I paint my fence?? 4Apr 05, 2011 6:56 am What Fu said.
