This was the best forum match I could really think of, so appologies if it's in the wrong space.
When the new house is completed, down the laundry side of the house (Refer picture at bottom of post) we will be building a dog run. I'm really not sure what to put in there though in terms of ground coverage and the like though.
It will start where the laundry door/garage is and run to the end of the house line. I'm going to get a pergola errected above it to keep rain out (This is the main objective of the run, to stop them getting wet when we go out, not a place they live all the time). I want it concreted down the garage/laundry end, but it's the rest I'm not sure on what to do. I'd hate to put grass in there and have them rip it all up, although they'd probably enjoy the grass. Is synthetic an option?
I wouldn't of minded of having some chip bark or sand or something in there for them to dig in, but Ash thinks they'll drag too much of it through the house.
Also they used to love laying under shrubs and stuff as puppies, so I wouldn't mind getting something like that for them, but I am also concerned about them chewing on them, so I'd want to avoid things that will be bad for them (obviously)
Any help?
