We're going to lay lawn this weekend. We live in the Adelaide Hills which has mild-medium frosts.
Would you advise against laying Sir Walter Buffalo?
We're getting such mixed advice from turf suppliers.
Some say definitely go with Kikuyu as it's frost tolerant, will stay green in winter, grows very fast.
But then others say Sir Walter is less invasive in the garden, tough, softer than Kikuyu and an all round good lawn.
There is a difference in price too.
The Sir Walter website does say it will be affected by frost, but so will most grasses. And SW will bounce back well.
What do you think? Anyone live in a medium frost area?
